dietary fiber includes a wide variety of plant carbohydrates that are not digested by humans. Fibers are classified as "soluble" (like oat bran) and "insoluble" (like wheat bran). Good sources of fiber are beans, vegetables, whole grains, and fruits. The American Cancer Society recommends eating at least five servings of fruits and vegetables every day and six servings of other foods from plant sources such as breads, cereals, grain products, rice, pasta, or beans. The ACS also suggests limiting intake of high-fat foods such as those from animal sources.
fibroadenoma

a type of benign breast tumor composed of fibrous and glandular tissue. On clinical examination or breast self-examination, it usually feels like a firm, round, smooth lump. These usually occur in young women.
fibrocystic changes
(fi-bro-sis-tick changes)
:
a term that describes certain benign changes in the breast. Symptoms of this condition are breast swelling or pain. The doctor or nurse will also look for nodules, lumpiness, or a discharge from the nipples. Because these symptoms or other signs can mimic breast cancer, diagnostic mammography or a biopsy of breast tissue may be needed to show that there is no cancer.
